Not always. Shopify's free themes are strong, and I'll recommend a paid theme only if your brand or catalogue needs it. Theme and app costs are paid directly by you, so you own them.

Yes. Everything is set up in Shopify's normal admin, and you get a short walkthrough at handover so your team can add products and run orders independently.
