Specialty Retail Engineering for High-End Home Fixtures
For The Sink Boutique, a multi-award-winning specialty retailer and “Best of Houzz” recipient, I engineered a high-performance Shopify storefront designed to provide a “boutique” shopping experience. The technical challenge was to organize an extensive catalog of kitchen sinks, farmhouse aprons, and vanities into a highly navigable User Interface. I focused on creating a high-trust environment that prioritizes technical specifications and product education, ensuring customers can choose complex fixtures with confidence.
I developed a custom theme architecture using Advanced Liquid and JSON to support deep product filtering based on cabinet sizing, installation type, and material. By optimizing the frontend for Core Web Vitals, I ensured that the media-heavy site remains lightning-fast, providing a seamless journey from inspiration to a secure checkout. My commitment to 100% design fidelity ensured that the brand’s identity as a sophisticated, women-owned specialty retailer was perfectly preserved across all devices.
